Ramón David León (1890-1980)
He was born in Cumaná, Sucre state: writer of the lyrics of the state anthem in 1915. Self-taught journalist, deserving of the oldest recognition for journalism:
- Maria Moors Cabot Prize founded in 1938.
- Gold Medal, Columbia University, which he received in New York, New York. United States, in 1951.
- Diplomat, he was ambassador of Venezuela in Lima, Peru (1952-1954) and in Havana (1956-1959).
